Flipped Learning

FLIPPED LEARNING ON THE MOVE!!

When I think of flipped learning, I always think back to the phrase “When the going gets tough, the tough should get going.” Education is always about finding innovative ways to help our students as much as we can. The same concept applies to the idea of flipped learning. I think flipped learning is a creative way of delivering knowledge to our students. It is a way of teaching our students utilizing technology to it’s limits. We are currently applying some of its concepts now, but in a limited way of course. Flipped learning runs along smoothly with the notion that our teachings should be student centered.
But with any new ideas, doubt always stirs up. I agree with the article on how it fights off criticisms of the idea, but it does bring uncertainty. There is the idea of accountability or the students not even caring on the given subject matter. They could care less because the teacher isn’t there. This is just a heads up on criticism facing flipped learning. I have my own personal belief of how this might work. It falls totally on the teachers to make it work for their students. We tend to say a lot about determination and commitment, but I believe that this is where we should put these concepts into action.
